A sore neck, headaches, lower back aches and pains. Just like you, many people experience the pain from tired, sore and tense muscles. What if I told you, that you can find relief without necessarily having a painful experience? Not all massages have to be painful, though they all have to be therapeutic.
Combined with other modalities, even those who are diagnosed with fibromyalgia can still enjoy a remedial massage.
With over 9 years of Remedial Massage experience, I have treated and experienced how the body works as a whole. Rarely is an issue solely in one area, as our bodies utilise and recruit other muscles to keep us moving with balance.
FAQs
Do you accept Health Fund Rebates?
Remedial Massage services are covered under health fund rebates. Please refer to a list of our accepted health funds: RECOGNIZED HEALTH FUNDS
Does a massage need to be painful?
Not at all! I would rather work with your body. When in pain, you could actually tense your muscles further, and instead of a relaxing session - we are just battling each other.
If there is a time where you have an injury that is quite painful, you may require to see a physiotherapist. Massage therapy does not replace the need for physiotherapy. However we do work really well as a team in supporting your health.
What is the purpose of your initial massage consult?
At Enhance Wellbeing, we offer an initial massage consult, where an extra 30mins is added to the session FREE!
I have many people who come into my clinic with complex issues, or who simply have not had a massage in a long time. This extra time can be spent discussing and assessing what is happening or for a longer massage session to get you back on track.
How often should I have a massage?
This really depends on your needs, daily activities and stress levels, and your ability to make time daily to stretch and have self care.
In an ideal situation, you will only need a massage once a month or more to keep you at your best.
Do you offer shorter sessions than an hour?
At this time, only upon assessment. I want people to walk out better than when they came in. This may not always be achievable in a shorter session, as when we release one area, there can be a cascade affect where another area can flare up (Such as releasing a shoulder, and then discovering you suddenly have neck pain)
Can I have a massage while pregnant?
Absolutely! Policy at Enhance Wellbeing, is we only massage women who are over 12 weeks pregnant and are considered a low risk pregnancy.
